Optimization of production line through VSM.

Following Value Stream Mapping (VSM) principles, we analyzed the production line of a German Packaging company in their cleaning lines. After dividing all processes into value adding, necessary or non-value adding, we eliminated the non-value adding processes and optimized the necessary processes and formulated new standard operating procedures. After training and implementation, the efficiency of the production line increased with more than 30% helping the client to work more efficient and creating more output. The VSM software used also could be used to create Video SOP’s.
